Board Of Directors
Ruhail Muhammad (Chairman)
Ruhail Muhammad’s career spans over 35 years in general management, business development, strategy, financial planning, and people development. He has held various C-suite positions in companies focusing on a diverse range of activities from Chemicals to Energy to Polymer production. He is currently the CEO of Hub Power Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of HUBCO, Pakistan’s largest IPP. He is responsible for managing the growing portfolio of HUBCO, including existing coal-based power plants. His responsibilities include evaluating onshore & offshore acquisitions, project financing, economic evaluation of all growth projects, and financial re-engineering to support the growth vision of the Company. Previously, he was the CEO of Engro Fertilizers from 2012-2018. He has served on the Boards of Engro Corp and various Engro subsidiaries including as Chairman of Engro Vopak and Engro LNG Terminal. In addition, he has also served on the Boards of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, British Overseas School, KP Energy Board (PEDO), EFU Life, and as Chairman of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited. He is a CFA Charter Holder and holds an MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. He has attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD as well as an Agri-Business certification from the Harvard Business School.
Abdul Samad Dawood
Samad Dawood is a graduate in Economics from University College London, UK, and a Certified Director of Corporate Governance from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. He is Chairman of Engro Foods Limited and Director on the Boards of Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited, Dawood Lawrencepur Limited, The Hub Power Company Limited, Engro Corporation Limited, and Engro Fertilizers Limited. Samad is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, Pakistan Chapter.
Sabrina Dawood
Sabrina Dawood joined the Board in April 2014. She is the CEO of the Dawood Foundation, a philanthropic organization for the promotion of education and creation of informal learning spaces and opportunities. Sabrina has been involved in the field of education through her contributions in several educational initiatives such as Dawood Public School, an education institution providing O and A level education to over 2,500 female students for the past 3 decades. She is also a member of Board of Governors of National Management Foundation (NMF) of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the board of Karachi School of Business and Leadership (KSBL). Muhammed Amin

Mr. Muhammed Amin is a Chartered Accountant. He has over 30 years of experience with reputed FMCGs at senior management positions. He was CEO of Gillette Pakistan Limited till December 2000 and Regional Business Director, Gillette Middle East and Africa from 2001 to 2003. He headed Mondelez Pakistan Limited as CEO for over ten years till 2014. Later, he established Sunridge Foods in 2015 and headed the company until January 2020.
He has served on the Board of Directors of Engro Foods Limited from 2006 to 2016 and Al Shaheer Corporation Limited from 2016 to 2019. He has also been on the Board of Governors of the British Overseas School, Executive Committee of the American Business Council, Management Committee of the Lasbela Chamber of Industry and Executive Committee of the Pakistan Advertisers Society.

Currently he is serving on the Board of Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited, Cyan Limited, International Packaging Films Limited, and Universal Coating Films (Private) Limited.

Shafiq Ahmed
Shafiq Ahmed joined DLL in 2007 and has worked for several Group concerns in different senior positions and currently looks after the Group’s finance function at the Holding Company Level as General Manager – Finance. He is also serving on the Board of Directors of Cyan Limited and Tenaga Generasi Limited. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and also holds a degree in Law from Karachi University.
Muhammad Bilal Ahmed (Director)

Muhammad Bilal Ahmed became a Director on the Board of Dawood Lawrencepur Limited in October 2023.

With over 13 years of experience in commercial and financial management, Bilal’s professional journey primarily unfolded within the Engro group companies. Presently, he holds the position of Chief Investment Officer at Dawood Investments Limited and is also on the Board of Directors of Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited. Before this, he served as General Manager – Investments at Engro Corporation.

Bilal’s accomplishments include guiding significant capital market transactions for Engro, such as facilitating the issuance of Preference Shares and Sukuks for Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited. He notably led Pakistan’s pioneering Islamic debt transaction with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), an achievement recognized as the ‘Pakistan Deal of the Year’ at the IFN Awards in 2018. His expertise extends to intricate financial instruments like synthetic cross-currency swaps and interest rate swap transactions, which he executed for various Engro group companies.

Bilal holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge. He is also a designated CFA charterholder. Beyond his professional roles, Bilal is an active member of the Board of Trustees for the Oxford & Cambridge Society, Karachi Educational Trust (OCSKET), and has previously contributed as Visiting Faculty at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.

Mohammad Shamoon Chaudry (Director and CEO)
Mohammad Shamoon Chaudry has more than 23 years of progressive and varied experience in the financial sector including financial control and governance. Mr. Shamoon started his career in investment banking within Corporate Finance/Advisory in Pakistan. He then moved to New York selling listed equities to funds investing in emerging markets. Subsequently, he shifted to development finance helping Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). During this period, he has worked at the government and policy level; industrial sector level, and with other individual enterprises. He was in the GCC region for the last twelve years, working primarily in Islamic investments, asset management, and financial control. Mr. Shamoon has extensive experience in managing private equity and real estate investments globally and notable expertise in structuring and developing investment products and asset management. During this period, he has managed investments in the UK, USA, EU, South East Asia, and GCC. Mr. Shamoon was also adjunct faculty at LUMS, teaching various courses in Finance. He has a master’s in finance from London Business School and an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
Mujtaba Haider Khan (CEO)

Mujtaba previously served as the Head of Strategy for Dawood Hercules Corporation. Before DH Co, he worked as the Head of Strategy and Transformation for British Telecom in London. At BT, Mujtaba served in various commercial roles including Project Director in Global Services Division and as the Head of Procurement for the UK-wide fiber rollout program. Mujtaba started his career as a software entrepreneur at the age of 19 and since then he has been part of founding teams in a range of startups in the technology, security, and financial services spaces.

Mujtaba holds his BS in Computer Systems Engineering and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
